Choosing the right gas spring
To select the correct replacement gas spring, it is important to refer to the specifications of your current gas spring. When you disassemble the existing gas spring, you will find the specified gas spring force, expressed in Newtons (N), on the casing of the gas spring.
Additionally, the length of the extendable part of the gas spring is important. This is the thinner, silver-coloured rod that slides out of the housing. Only measure this visible, silver-coloured rod; the head and the black housing are not included in this measurement.
By combining the gas spring force (N) with the length of the extendable rod, you can easily choose the correct replacement model that matches your original gas spring.
